The memorial, titled ‘Forever 20’, will be located on 97 Avenue, near Anfield’s Main Stand, where fans placed countless tributes after the brothers tragically died in a car crash in Spain last July.

The club describes the memorial as a way to “celebrate their lives, their bond, and the love and respect felt by family, teammates and supporters across the world.” At its center sits a flowing heart sculpture, inspired by Jota’s signature goal celebration, with the numbers 20 and 30 visible from different angles—numbers representing the shirts worn by Jota and Silva on the field.

The memorial also features lyrics from the chant supporters sing in the 20th minute of every Liverpool game.

While the club has not set an official unveiling date, the sculpture will rest on a Granby Rock-faced stone plinth, laser-engraved with a dedication to both brothers. Many of the physical tributes left at Anfield will be incorporated into the plinth. Liverpool stated, “This unique recycling process ensures the voices and emotions shared by fans at the time become a permanent and enduring part of this memorial.”

The plinth includes personal touches beyond football, such as a games controller detail, making the site a symbol of love, unity, and remembrance—a place for reflection and respect. Liverpool permanently retired the number 20 shirt in memory of Jota following his passing.
